Do you know for certain that you will go to Heaven when you die? Would you say that is something you are still working on? One thing you can know for sure is God loves YOU. “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23
“Christ died for our sins… He was buried…He rose again on the third day according to the Scriptures.” 1 Corinthians 15:3–4
What does it mean to repent? It means to do a spiritual U-turn with the help of the Holy Spirit. You turn from sin, and you turn to God. It doesn’t mean you’ll never sin again, but it does mean you are tired of it and don’t want to sin. “Except you repent, ye shall all likewise perish.” Luke 13:3
Jesus paid the price for you, and that He rose from the dead to give you eternal life. “Believe on the Lord Jesus, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.” Acts 16:31
You invite Christ to come into your life, to be your Lord, and your Savior. The moment you call upon his name and receive him as your Savior, He makes you a new creation. “But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become sons of God, even to them that believe on His name.” John 1:12
“Lord Jesus, I confess that I have sinned against You. I turn from my sin right now. I believe that You died on the cross to pay the penalty for my sins. I receive You as the Lord and Savior of my life. I give my life to You. In Jesus name, Amen.”
If you sincerely repented of your sin, put your faith in Christ, and called upon his name to save you, the Bible says you’re a Christian. Old things have passed away, new things have come, and the spirit of God has come to live within you.
Angels in heaven are rejoicing, and we at FBC would love to rejoice with you as well. If you prayed to receive Christ, please let us know.
